We have devised a set of rules that we think is fair and that should be advantageous to all people raiding
We have a Master Looter (ML) set for the raid, this is dual purpose,
firstly so "mistakes" don't happen, if a priest healer accidently hits
need on plate tanking gear, not only is it a waste of loot, but can
also cause arguements and upsets. Secondly, it tends to speed raids up
a little
When Bind on Pickup (BoP) loot drops we have a two tier rolling system, Primary and Secondry rolls.
Primary
rolls are for Item specific rolls. For example, if plate with spell power on it drops, it would be pally healing plate. Or if leather spell power drops, it would be for a boomkin or a healing druid.
If no one rolls on an item for a primary roll, the item is opened up for a secondry roll, this is
for any one to roll on, but please use a little common sense, we won't
allow you to roll on it ;as I need it to shard", obviously, the cloth
item with bonus healing ideally goes to another healer who wears
leather, mail or plate, if it is has better stats than the item they
already have.
You may roll on as many secondry rolls in a run as you like, as long as we deem the item to be useful to you.
Please don't think you can pass on a primary roll to win on a secondary roll to "save" your primary roll for later.
No system is perfect, but if people play fair and honest and don't try to
abuse the system we have, we feel the whole guild can benefit from all
of us gearing up better.
Usually the ML will announce who can
roll on an item, but if you feel the ML has not announced it correctly
please feel free to say so, even I have made the very occasional and
extemely rare mistake on who can roll on items, I know it's hard to
believe that Wozzie can make mistakes, but it is always a deliberate
mistake to test the other raid members to make sure everyone is still
awake. Honest.

Anyone may roll on the Tier sets, if you are the correct class and don't
already have the item. However, if everyone of the correct class
already has the tier item dropped, then people may roll on it for back-up
gear, e/g a tankadin may roll on the item for their healing set.
